Remember the game "Operation"?

I have a challenge. The challenge is to set a box over an object without touching the object or manually controlling the unit.
I have a box that sits on top of and between 4 legs that can move up and down; the method of vertical movement is yet to be determined. At the bottom of each of the legs are wheels, 2 are driving wheels and 2 are steering wheels. When the box is raised on the legs, it will be high enough for it to clear an object. The wheels will move the box above the object where the moveable legs will set the box down over the object. The object is just ?? smaller than the inside of the box. The entire unit can be manually steered to only 5 feet from the object. From that point, the unit must move the box over the object and set the box down without touching the object, as fast as possible, entirely on its own.
