Inventor or entrepreneur what is the difference |
|
If you see an entepreneur he is trying to organize, develop something
new in business or business ventures products and services. However,
an inventor is trying to design, develop, and also build prototypes and
next, patent them usually he is the only one who see's the potential
or new discovery, but if the public or consumers take notice he will be
a success, now he has taken an even giant step from mere inventor
to entrepreneur or has become entrepreneural. Please join my support
group, a network to help inventors by helping each other by educating,
finding service providers that are not exploitatious to inventors,

Roderick, the problem I have seen is inventors are not interested in the business side. Yes they would like to make money but they can't get concentrated on the money part, get stressed and the technical side is their comfort zone.
I assume you are trying to get inventors together to help get through this part without the business man taking their ideas and making all the money himself?

DC Power, 100% in agreement with you on this. Too many inventors lack business skills and many lack the willingness to bring in people with complementary skills to move forward or to criticize. Public awareness of blue sky technology, even with tons of marketing horsepower, and PR, even by the big boys results in massive failure, if the market is not willing and able. Look at the audrey. $17 million invested, and it fortunately was killed off before they did a product introduction. Inventing is only a small part of the process, albeit a critical one.

Inventors are entrepreneural also entrepreneurs do invent |
|
Inventors do sometime lack business/marketing skills, but that is
why we have support groups and forums like this to network. Entrepreneurs
on the the other hand ussually lack technical ability concerning product
development, but make it up with good public relations campain and
varied types of marketing to target buyers.
The bottom line is we need more venture capital organizations with
boards to annalyze the true potential of the product, service or both
using special groups(Boards) composed of engineers, business
people(marketers, financial guru's,etc) and inventors and entrepreneurs
to think outside the box. That way we have good networking group to
the potentail of the intellectual property and make a good determination
to invest or not to. Wonder if anyone ever thought of taking venture
capital or product development to the next level such affilaite marketing
or mult-level venture investments/members. Please join our support
